THE CHRISTMAS STAR AND THE CHRYSANTHEMUM

Kiku is a young girl facing the world in war torn Japan. Her situation appears hopeless as she is held captive by a dark force. Yet she has been awakened to a recurring dream where she encounters a vision of a glorious morning where a brilliant star appears in the sky, heralding the birth of a king. Her vision, though, is always followed by a premonition of a most devastating light that will consume her city. Kiku nevertheless finds hope in unexpected places. Her story is one of hope for the future of humanity and the redemption of all who suffer from mankind’s propensity for self- destruction.
