THE GOLD CHIP

The small town of Somerville, Kansas in 1893 comes to life in the middle of a severe winter snowstorm when an Indian crashes into the local barber shop during a town meeting and dies on the shop floor from his exposure to the intense cold.  But not before he tells the story of the white buffalo that poops gold, the very gold he holds in his hands.

This is a major scoop for Libby Barrett, a local newspaper reporter who just happens to be covering the town meeting.  Libby is a Kansas gal born and raised, now in her twenties, attractive, and very career oriented.  She is clever, determined and very suspicious.  How can a buffalo poop gold?  Libby is determined to get to the bottom of this story but soon finds there are sinister and dangerous forces opposing her investigation that could lead to great harm…or even death.
